Montgomery Place

The Montgomery Place community of 2557 people was originally erected for veterans outside of the city of Saskatoon. Most of this neighbourhood was constructed after WWII as part of the Veterans’ Land Act Settlement. It became part of the city of Saskatoon in 1957. The Confederation Suburban Centre is the closest large retail centre. Montgomery has the largest annual Garage Sale in Saskatoon and this community hosts its very own Remembrance Day ceremony of which there is always overwhelming community support given its beginnings. Due to its orientation to the rest of the city the overall feeling of this region is of a small town.
