Grosvenor Park

Grosvenor Park has a population of less than 1700 people as it was planned as a smaller residential area with minimal traffic yet still close to amenities. It is home to the Grosvenor Park Shopping Centre with a wide variety of shops and the major stores of the Real Canadian Wholesale Club and Shopper’s Drug Mart.

This was the first subdivision to stray from the grid system and instead using curved courts to connect the surrounding thoroughfares in an attempt to surround the school. It was successful and to this day it still accommodates middle to upperclass families. It is a mix of original homeowners from 1946-1960’s and younger university students. The need for an elementary school ceased to exist therefore the original school has been closed, it has been turned into the Saskatoon Islamic Centre (Mosque).
