The Lawson Heights community mostly came together in the 1970’s and tapered off in the late 1980’s as the community was established by then. The Mall at Lawson Heights offers most amenities and there are several recreational facilities in this neighbourhood including the Kinsmen/Henk Ruys Soccer Centre, Lawson Civic Centre (with Saskatoon’s first wave pool, tropical beach-like pool, toddlers pool, multipurpose room, indoor playground, fitness room, poolside deck, and an outdoor park area). The streets here are named after Saskatchewan lakes.
