The Avalon community was developed between 1946 and 1956, although it was not complete until the end of the 1970’s. The roadways found here follow naming patterns after Mayors from the city’s inception in 1903 until the Right Honourable J.D.McAskill 1954-1958. There are over 3150 residents in this neighbourhood.
